Privacy notice

This notice covers this website only. Personal data collected in the research activities of the project, such as surveys, participatory workshops and the E-Democracy Hub pilots, is processed under separate information and consent documents given to participants at the time of collection, and under the project Data Management Plan.

This website sets no cookies. It also stores nothing in, and reads nothing from, your browser storage: no local storage, no session storage, no indexed database, and no device fingerprinting.

Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as transposed into national law, requires consent before storing information on, or gaining access to information already stored in, your device. This site does neither, so there is nothing to consent to, and a consent banner would be misleading rather than protective. That is why you are not asked to accept anything.

If analytics, an embedded video, a social media widget, a font service, a map or a chat tool is added later, that changes. A prior consent mechanism becomes mandatory before such a tool may load, and this section has to be rewritten in the same change.

Every page, image, font and stylesheet is served from this domain. The site makes no requests to third party servers, so no other organisation learns that you visited, and this website transfers no data outside the European Economic Area.

The hosting provider records technical request data, which may include your IP address, the time of the request, the address requested, the response status and your browser identification. This is processed to keep the site available, to diagnose faults and to detect abuse, on the basis of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

The website runs on a server in the private cloud of Tallinn University of Technology, administered by the university itself, so no outside hosting company receives this data. Web server logs are rotated daily and deleted after at most 15 days.

No personal data from this website is sold, rented or shared for marketing, and none is passed to any third party for their own purposes. The server is operated by the coordinating institution itself, so no outside organisation processes website data on our behalf. Consortium partners do not receive website data.

This website carries out no automated decision making and no profiling within the meaning of Article 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation. Nothing you do here is scored, ranked, matched against a profile, or used to reach a decision about you. There is no advertising technology and no tracking of any kind on this site.

If you write to the project office, your address and the content of your message are processed to answer you and to document project communication. They are kept no longer than the reporting and record keeping obligations of the Grant Agreement require.

If what this site loads or stores ever changes, this notice is rewritten in the same change rather than afterwards. The date at the top is when it was last reviewed.

You may request access to your personal data, its correction or erasure, or a restriction of processing, and you may object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests. Requests can be sent to the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, either where you live or work, or where you consider the infringement to have taken place. In Estonia, where the coordinating institution is based, this is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate, Tatari 39, 10134 Tallinn.
